Book Fair!
The Scholastic Book Fair is Back! The Book Fair will be open 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Monday thru Friday Feb. 14-18, 2011. We will have a Late Night event Tuesday, Feb. 15 and be open until 7:00 p.m. We will also be open from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17 before the 4th grade Music Program. Grandparent's Day is also Thursday, Feb. 17. Due to the Snow Day, our Make up Day is now Monday, Feb. 21. The Book Fair will be open for last chance shopping all day Monday! See you at the Book Fair!

Bluebonnet Voting at Gilmore Elementary
On Monday, January 31 Gilmore Elementary students who had read 5 or more Bluebonnet Books voted for their favorite. Our winner was The Uglified Ducky by Willy Claflin.

5th Grade Presents Library with Gift

ALA announces Youth Media Award Winners
ALA announced the annual Youth Media Award Winners at its Midwinter Meeting in San Diego this week. The 2011 Newbery Award Winner is Moon over Manifest by Claire Vanderpool,

Kakapo Rescue: Saving the World’s Strangest Parrot, written by Sy Montgomery. The book features photographs by Nic Bishop
